Faithful Fishers- 10 Years In Review
Celebrating 10 Years of Faithful Fishers' Ministry
February of 2026 officially marks 10 years of Faithful Fishers ministry.
What started as a local effort to train and equip believers in Kerrville, Texas, has become an international ministry spanning seven countries.
When Faithful Fishers first began, founder Darrin Miller believed that a ministry was needed that could meet people where they were, from all types of backgrounds and education levels, and help them know Christ, follow Christ, and make disciples for Christ.
So in 2016, Faithful Fishers and the Living Word Bible School came to life under a board of local pastors from various denominational backgrounds. Over the next two years, a group of 12 students went through the Living Word Bible Schools program which at the time was a two year process.
Additionally, Faithful Fishers was active in the community hosting evangelism trainings, outreach events, and partnering with local churches to help reach the youth and young adults of the Texas Hill Country.

Additionally, Faithful Fishers was active in the community hosting evangelism trainings, outreach events, and partnering with local churches to help reach the youth and young adults of the Texas Hill Country.
From 2016-2020, Faithful Fishers continued to grow in influence, in baptisms, and network ultimately seeing hundreds of people give their lives to Christ, planting home-churches in multiple cities, and brining on a team of local missionaries in Kerrville as well as in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Beyond Kerrville and Corpus, Faithful Fishers has impact communities across Texas such as San Antonio, New Braunfels, Houston, as well as into Louisiana and other states through outreach events, evangelical concerts, and community non-profit partnerships.
The Living Word Bible School has also continued to grow and shape the face of our ministry. After our initial class graduation in 2018, the Living Word Bible School implemented a new, custom curriculum and also developed an online learning platform.
Since then, our students have received greater biblical and theological development in comparison with our starting curriculum and we've been honored to serve students all across America, and even across the world.
As of 2026, the Living Word Bible School has trained hundreds of pastors, leaders, and future leaders across Eastern Africa, Asia, and the Middle East while also partnering with indigenous leaders to host various outreach events for their local communities.
Since then, our students have received greater biblical and theological development in comparison with our starting curriculum and we've been honored to serve students all across America, and even across the world.
As of 2026, the Living Word Bible School has trained hundreds of pastors, leaders, and future leaders across Eastern Africa, Asia, and the Middle East while also partnering with indigenous leaders to host various outreach events for their local communities.
In the last 10 years Faithful Fishers has had 6 local missionaries across multiple cities, a total of 9 missionary interns, over a dozen church partnerships, more than 50 LWBS students nationally, and over 20 graduates for our program in addition to the dozens of church and ministry leaders we've trained through one-on-one discipleship programs.
These numbers only reflect the Texas based ministry of Faithful Fishers and doesn't include the massive international impact that we've had in the last five years.

This past weekend, current Faithful Fishers leaders based in the San Antonio area gathered together to look back at what God has done through Faithful Fishers in the last decade as well as to consider what the Lord is leading us toward for the future.
This year, we are bringing on a new Church Relations Manager to help build stronger partnerships and greater support for our international work. We area also praying for more missionaries, more U.S. based Living Word Bible School students, and looking forward to upcoming events and mission trips including:
