Join us as we go to train gospel leaders in Uganda.
Faithful Fishers has been working in Uganda alongside our International Partner, Alex, since 2021.
When we first visited Uganda, we hosted two leadership conferences in Entebbe, and in Kazo, a village 8 hours away from our home base. Not only did we have two successful conferences with over 170 leaders, but we also preached the gospel to over 800 people in rural villages, had 135 baptisms our first three days in, and planted the Living Word Bible School. Since 2021, we have had a number of leaders who have been trained through the Living Word Bible School.
Now we are going back to Uganda in December to host two conferences:

Now we are going back to Uganda in December to host two conferences:
- First, a family life conference to support a local church partner who is in our network.
- Secondly, a LWBS leadership conference where hand picked leaders who are already teaching our first course out in the churches and villages will come to learn our second course curriculum, "The Church and Family," and who will immediately go out and begin teaching what they have learned.

About Uganda
Uganda, known as the “Pearl of Africa,” is a beautiful and diverse country located in East Africa. Home to over 45 million people, it is rich in culture, hospitality, and natural beauty. While Uganda boasts stunning landscapes and vibrant communities, many regions face significant challenges, including poverty, limited access to healthcare, and lack of educational resources. These needs create an incredible opportunity to share God’s love through practical service, discipleship, and gospel-centered ministry.
Christianity in Uganda dates back to the late 19th century when missionaries from the Church Missionary Society (Anglican) and Catholic missionaries arrived in the 1870s and 1880s. Their work sparked a powerful movement that spread rapidly across the country, even amid fierce persecution. One of the most notable events in this history is the martyrdom of 45 young Ugandan Christians between 1885 and 1887, who were executed for their faith by the King of Buganda. Their courage inspired countless others, and today, Christianity is the dominant faith in Uganda, shaping much of its culture and values, though many people and people groups remain unreached.

Is This Trip For Me?

There will be eastern style "squatty potties" most of the time. In the village, there may only be outhouses available in certain situations, an though we will most likely have hotels, serving in rural Uganda may allow you to experience living with no hot water, no running water (but water will be available in jugs), no A/C and other situations that may be shocking to Americans. If any of these situations present a concern for you, this trip may not be for.

What Will We Be Doing?
While in Uganda, we have two main purposes:
Additionally, there may be opportunities to minister with children, preach the gospel, and share testimonies, but these opportunities may or may not make themselves available. If you have experience teaching, preaching, or testimonies about marriage, forgiveness, or church service, we can guarantee you a spot in our itinerary to teach or share in some way. If you do not have previous experience teaching or preaching, we will do our best to find ways for you to serve and/or share, but it will be dependent on the opportunities presented to us beyond our core training curriculum.
Even if you have no experience and do not get a lot of opportunities to serve, this can still be a life changing trip and a chance for you to learn, experience, and be impacted yourself. I also believe that if you feel led to go with us to Uganda, that God will provide ways for you to grow, serve, and share as He will have a unique way for this trip to serve you, as well as unique ways for you to serve others on this trip.
- Offer a Family Life conference in a church.
- Train missionary leaders in the LWBS curriculum.
