2026 SOF
Faithful Fishers International Ministry
Faithful Fishers was established in 2016 to help others experience the fullness of God's calling through Biblical teaching, coaching, and community. One of the ways we fulfill our mission is through our daughter ministry The Living Word Bible School.
Over the last ten years, the Faithful Fishers and the Living Word Bible School has worked to raise up gospel centered leaders. Our students have become pastors, missionaries, youth leaders, college ministers, jail chaplains and more. Today, the Living Word Bible has crossed international borders and now exists in seven countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Africa. Much like the Green Beret's, we go into foreign nations via small specialized units through partnerships with on-the-ground missionaries.
Our core mission is to train, advise, and assist our international partners in planting schools where they will be able to raise up additional pastors, leaders, and missionaries ready to the take the gospel out to unreached peoples and plant more churches and bible schools as we advance the Kingdom of Heaven behind enemy lines. We operate in small teams while developing long-term relationships through whom we plan outreach and discipleship operations to enable local forces rather than trying to replacing them. On this trip, students will experience the mission field, receive training for future ministry, and learn more about how they can use their prior experience to advance God's kingdom around the globe.

Where We'll Be Going.
Since 2023, Faithful Fishers has been partnering with KMI (Kingdom Mission International) to provide training for pastor, missionaries, and future leaders from across Thailand's northern border.
Strategically located near the Golden Triangle—where Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos meet—KMI’s headquarters have allowed us to gather leaders from various nations, primarily Myanmar, where they are trained in theology, evangelism, discipleship, and church planting before returning back home to expand the kingdom of God in their homeland. As we've continued to partner with KMI in Northern Thailands, we have also been able to connect with a number of international leaders and are now training churches and leaders in Thailand, Pakistan, Myanmar, and Laos.
Northern Thailand is beautiful, with breathtaking mountains, an abundance of food, markets, and history, and is extremely safe and clean making it an idea spot for training.

Regional Background
Northern Thailand
Americans in Northern Thailand experience a rich cultural immersion, including local food, traditional festivals, hill tribe villages, and Buddhist customs. They encounter diverse ethnic groups, learn local languages and customs, and see a way of life deeply shaped by spirituality and community, all while enjoying the region’s stunning landscapes and vibrant markets. Mission work often combines Bible teaching, education, and humanitarian outreach, creating strong partnerships between Thai believers and international workers to spread the gospel throughout Southeast Asia.Laos
Christian mission in Laos operates under strict government restrictions but continues to grow quietly. Most ministry happens through house churches, personal relationships, and humanitarian work, especially in rural areas. Our proximity to the northern border gives us easy access to train underground church leaders who can then go back to Laos, share the gospel, make disciples, and multiple churches.
Myanmar
Since the 2021 military coup, Myanmar has been engulfed in a brutal civil war between the ruling junta and pro-democracy forces, ethnic armies, and resistance groups. The coup toppled Aung San Suu Kyi’s government, sparking nationwide protests and violent crackdowns. Today, millions are displaced, the economy has collapsed, and human rights abuses are rampant, making Myanmar one of Southeast Asia’s gravest crises. Yet amid the chaos, doors are opening for the gospel, as communities devastated by conflict are increasingly receptive to hope, aid, and the transforming message of Christ.
What Will We Do?
This purpose of this trip is fourfold.:
During the day, our time will be spent in class. We will start with an amazing Thai breakfast and coffee, travel to the KMI headquarters, begin with worship and prayer, and start class at 9:00a.m. This will be an intensive seminary experience. Students will be receiving three classes (a semester and a half of instruction) in a week and a half of class sessions. Each day, we will have three courses- one in the morning and two in the afternoon- and will be in class till 4:30-5pm each day with a lunch break. These courses will be The Ministry of the New Covenant, The Church and Family, and Entering the Harvest. At the end of this two-week experience, students will have the a strong foundation for Christian theology and will be equipped to share the gospel, baptize, make disciples, and start churches or discipleship ministries through a number of reproducible training tools. Regardless of your future, you will be come away energized, equipped, and ready to serve God's kingdom.
- Provide a strong, seminary level, biblical/theological foundation for all students
- Give students hands-on training for evangelism, discipleship, and church planting
- Allow students to experience the mission field and build relationships in Northern Thailand
- Identify how students' gifts, talents, and skillsets might be used for God's Kingdom
