Join us as we go to preach and build in Costa Rica!
Pastor Marlon (who is from Costa Rica) and his family served in Costa Rica for many years. Having established a church and raised up a new pastor, Pastor Marlon now lives in Corpus Christi and is serving locally in his area.
However, there is still much work to be done in Costa Rica, and we are partnering with Marlon to:
- Preach to and encourage the local congregation
- Make plans to plant the Living Word Bible School in Cost Rica to train leaders and church members
- Remodel properties and build beds so they properties are in better shape to house future mission teams.
*The details of this trip are still being discussed and are subject to change.

About Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a beautiful Central American nation known for its lush rainforests, stunning beaches, and rich biodiversity. Beyond its natural beauty, it is home to warm and welcoming people who value community and culture. While Costa Rica enjoys political stability and a strong sense of national pride, many communities still face economic challenges and have limited access to resources for spiritual growth. This creates an incredible opportunity to share the love of Christ and serve those in need through missions.
While Costa Rica is often seen as peaceful and safe, many rural communities struggle with deep social issues such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, and broken family structures. These challenges often go unaddressed due to limited resources, cultural silence, and lack of hope. In these areas, the need for the gospel is urgent—not only to bring spiritual transformation but also to restore dignity, healing, and healthy relationships through Christ’s love and truth.
The region is also home to breathtaking volcanoes like Arenal and Poás, which provide rich volcanic soil perfect for agriculture. These highlands produce some of the world’s finest coffee, and visitors can often see coffee fields stretching across the mountainsides. The cooler climate, lush cloud forests, and abundant wildlife make these areas a unique and vibrant part of Costa Rica’s landscape, offering both natural beauty and cultural richness. And finally, the flight to Costa Rica is fairly short which allows for shorter and less expensive mission trips without the issues of jet lag.
